Matthew has spent his career as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and business executives across Canada and joined RBC Dominion Securities as an Investment Advisor in 2023.
After beginning his career in politics, Matthew joined a global consulting agency and provided counsel to senior executives from businesses and not-for-profits around the globe. An entrepreneur at heart, Matthew co-founded a North American consulting agency, where he served as Managing Partner and CEO, leading operations in its five offices across Canada and the United States. He is also active in the start-up ecosystem, having led operations for one of Canada’s largest angel investing networks and co-founded an A.I. health technology company.
He came to RBC to pursue his passion for supporting business owners and professionals in planning for their future. Clients benefit from his understanding of balancing personal and professional needs and his strategic insight.
Named one of Ottawa’s Top Forty under 40 in 2023, Matthew was also recognized for outstanding service and contributions to the community to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen. He holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance and completed his thesis on the impact behavioural theory has on investment management.
In his spare time, Matthew is an avid golfer and a community advocate for ALS and Cystic Fibrosis while serving as a Carleton Place Hospital Foundation board member. He lives in Ottawa with his wife, Julia, and their two young children.
